러시아 정부가 시베리아 수용소로 이감되었다는 소문이 있는 펑크 그룹 푸시 라이엇 멤버의 행방을 밝히는 것을 계속 거부하고 있다. 이는 그녀를 침묵시키기 위한 가차 없는 행동이라고 국제앰네스티는 말했다.
“나데즈다 톨로코니코바(Nadezhda Tolokonnikova)는 감옥에서 겪었던 협박에 대해 공개적으로 이의를 제기했다. 우리는 그녀가 감옥의 참담한 환경을 밝힌 것으로 인해 처벌받을 것에 대해 우려하고 있다”고 데니스 크리보쉐프 국제앰네스티 유럽·중앙아시아국 부국장은 말했다.
“러시아 당국은 그녀의 행방을 가족에게 즉각 알려야 하며 그녀가 변호사와 접견할 수 있도록 허용해야 한다. 나데즈다는 애초에 감옥에 있어서는 안 되는 양심수이다. 그녀가 어디에 있는지 말하지 않는 것은 최악의 시나리오인 루머에 기름을 끼얹을 뿐”이라고 전했다.
나데즈다 톨로코니코바는 2년 형을 선고받고 복역 중이던 유형지에서 호송된 것으로 알려진 10월 22일(화)부터 행방이 묘연하다. 그녀는 다른 곳으로 호송된 것으로 보이지만, 목적지는 밝혀지지 않았다. 나데즈다의 남편은 교도소 행정부를 통해 그녀가 시베리아(Siberia)에 있는 형무소로 옮겨질 가능성에 대해 들었다고 전했다.
그는 “만약 보고가 사실이라면 모스크바에서 수천 킬로미터 떨어진 형무소에서는 친척과 변호사가 그녀를 만나는 것이 거의 불가능해진다. 이는 그녀의 인권은 물론 러시아 자국의 법도 침해하는 것이다”고 전했다.

The continuing refusal to disclose the whereabouts of a member of the Russian punk group Pussy Riot, who is rumoured to be in transfer to a prison colony in Siberia, shows the authorities’ unrelenting efforts to silence her, Amnesty International said.
“Nadezhda Tolokonnikova has publicly complained of threats she received from prison officials. We are concerned that she now may be being punished for this and for speaking out about deplorable prison conditions,” said Denis Krivosheev, Europe and Central Asia Deputy Director at Amnesty International.
“Russian authorities must immediately tell her family where she is and allow her access to a lawyer. She is a prisoner of conscience who should have never been taken to jail in the first place. Refusing to say where she is simply fuels rumours of the worse case scenario.”
Nadezhda Tolokonnikova’s whereabouts have been unknown since 22 October when she was reportedly taken from the penal colony where she was serving a two-year prison sentence. It is believed she is being transferred to another place, but the destination has not been revealed.
Her husband has now said a penitentiary administration source informed him of the possible move to a prison colony in Siberia.
“If reports are true, transferring her to a prison colony thousands of kilometres from Moscow would make it almost impossible for her relatives and lawyers to see her. This would be a violation of her human rights and of Russia’s own laws.”
